Born in the oasis, at home in the desert
White Desert Home is a local tour company in Bawiti, Bahariya Oasis. Our guides, drivers and cooks grew up between the palm groves of Bahariya and the chalk formations of the White Desert National Park. We plan every trip ourselves, drive our own 4x4s and set up our own camps.
Whether you have two days or a full week, we build a private route for your group: the chalk "mushrooms" of the White Desert, the volcanic hills of the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, Agabat Valley, Siwa Oasis, Wadi El Hitan or the dunes of the Great Sand Sea.

What is White Desert Home?
White Desert Home is a local desert tour company based in Bawiti, Bahariya Oasis, Egypt. Our Bedouin team runs private 4x4, camping and camel trips to the White Desert, Black Desert, Siwa Oasis, Wadi El Hitan and the wider Western Desert.
Where do your tours start?
Most tours start with hotel pickup in Cairo or Giza. You can also meet us directly in Bahariya Oasis, and we run a White Desert tour that starts from Luxor.
How much does a White Desert tour cost?
Our tours start at $110 per person for the 2-day White Desert overnight tour in a group of 4. Longer trips, such as the 5-day Egypt Desert Adventure or the 7-day camel trek, cost more. The White Desert National Park entrance fee of $10 per person is not included.
Are your tours private?
Yes. Every trip is private for your group, and you choose the date. We confirm the route, group size and price with you in writing before the trip.
How do I pay?
You pay when we meet at the start of the tour, by credit card or in cash. We accept US dollars, euros and Egyptian pounds. There is no deposit or advance payment.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. You can cancel up to 24 hours before the start of your tour. Message us on WhatsApp or by email.
When is the best time to visit the White Desert?
October to April is the most comfortable season, with warm days and cool nights. Summer days are very hot, so summer trips start early and rest at midday. Winter nights in the desert can be cold, so bring a warm layer.

Western Desert Egypt
