The White Desert park fee ($10 per person) is paid separately.
White Desert to Dakhla tour: overview
Darb el-Qawafil means “the caravan trail” in Arabic. For centuries, caravans crossed the Western Desert from oasis to oasis, and this trail links the White Desert with Dakhla Oasis. Today it is an off-road route across rocky badlands, dunes and wide plains that few travelers drive.
Instead of returning to Cairo after the White Desert, you continue south to the oases of the New Valley, with an experienced local driver who knows the trail.
Route: Cairo → Bahariya Oasis → Black Desert → Crystal Mountain → Agabat Valley → White Desert → Gebel el-Makhrum → Darb el-Qawafil → Dakhla Oasis.
